Paying homage. First to the start of baseball games and the other. secondly to the fallible nature of humans. Or Maybe it's just superstition, we've done it this way for a few years now, tradition?
A few tables at each of the bars can handle larger teams (8+). But for the most part it's easier with 6 or less team members. If you have a large team send someone early, before 6:15pm, to claim a table for the team. The short answer is there is no limit on team size.
To get the best table to fit everyone on the team comfortably arrive by 6:15pm. At Montana and sometimes Sam's by 6:45pm all the tables are likely to be claimed.
Both bars have full service bars. Sam's Tavern has great burgers and traditional pub food. Montana doesn't have a kitchen so outside food (not drinks) are allowed. See above for a few great suggestions.
Yes. Sam's Tavern and Montana have always been dog friendly.

Mariners: Road to World Series Runs Thru Toronto
The Mariners vs Blue Jays in the playoffs - it's like a friendly neighborly competition, except instead of arguing over whose lawn is greener, we're arguing over who has the better baseball team. It's the battle of North America, where the Mariners from the good ol' USA take on the Blue Jays from the land of maple syrup and politeness.
Now, I'm not saying that this matchup is as intense as a heavyweight boxing match, it’s way more, it's always fun to see some good old-fashioned rivalry on the baseball diamond. It's like watching a family feud play out on the field, with both teams vying for bragging rights and a shot at playoff glory.
So, here's to the USA versus Canada in the playoffs. It's a clash of cultures, a clash of baseball styles, and a clash of national pride. Who will come out on top? But with game one of the playoffs chalked up as a win they may sweep the Jays and move on. Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure - it's going to be one heck of a showdown. So grab your popcorn and your tridents, because this is going to be a playoff series to remember. Play ball!
Online Question:
Often in the US we say we don't understand Canadians, provincial lexicons can be confusing. For example in Saskatchewan what do they call a hoodie?
