Paying homage. First to the start of baseball games and the other, to the fallible nature of humans. Or Maybe it's just superstition, we've done it this way for a few years now, tradition?
A few tables at each of the bars can handle larger teams (8+). But for the most part it's easier with 6 or less team members. If you have a large team send someone early, before 6:15pm, to claim a table for the team. The short answer is there is no limit on team size.
To get the best table to fit everyone on the team comfortably arrive by 6:15pm.

August is National Wellness Month, which is basically 31 days of being reminded that apparently coffee, anxiety, and an Apple Watch do not constitute a comprehensive healthcare plan. Wellness used to mean “eat your vegetables and get some exercise.” Now it involves sleep scores, cold plunges, meditation apps, magnesium supplements, $14 smoothies, and a fitness tracker congratulating you for standing up once during a four-hour Netflix marathon. And nothing says wellness quite like turning relaxation into another competitive activity. “I meditated for 20 minutes, hit 12,000 steps, drank 90 ounces of water, and achieved REM sleep.” Congratulations—you’ve somehow given anxiety a spreadsheet.
So this week, we’re practicing a more realistic form of self-care: sitting in a bar with friends, exercising your hippocampus, and confidently arguing over an answer none of you actually knows. Hydrate. Stretch occasionally. Protect your mental health. And remember: beer contains water.
