Paying homage. First to the start of baseball games and the other, to the fallible nature of humans. Or Maybe it's just superstition, we've done it this way for a few years now, tradition?
A few tables at each of the bars can handle larger teams (8+). But for the most part it's easier with 6 or less team members. If you have a large team send someone early, before 6:15pm, to claim a table for the team. The short answer is there is no limit on team size.
To get the best table to fit everyone on the team comfortably arrive by 6:15pm. At Montana and at Harvey's there are only a few tables that can handle larger teams
Both bars have full service bars. Harvey's Tavern has traditional pub food. Montana doesn't have a kitchen so outside food (not drinks) are allowed. See above for a few great suggestions.
Yes. Harvey's Tavern and Montana have always been dog friendly. Skillet & Vine has an outside patio which welcomed dogs, where you can still be apart of trivia.
Just send us an email info@seattlebartrivia.com or show up at one of the trivia nights and talk to the host. We're always happy to talk about what we do.
We choose a weekly theme for the online question and the bonus questions. These usually have something to do with a current holiday or event, or anniversary.
Throughout the quiz we ask several bonus questions the correct answer is worth a pint.
That's a great question. The short answer is that the business was was not doing as well as they hoped. When they were unable to find a buyer for the business, it had been on the market for several years, they decided to simply shut down. Cut their losses. Will they bounce back? Unknown, but it seems unlikely.
Voila - Skillet & Vine Bisto is the answer. Located just down the hill in Madison Valley. We are excited to be taking over their trivia night. It will be the same 6 round format as the other quizzes. Right along side some of the best food, and a great Happy Hour Menu.
Hey there, trivia aficionados! Let's talk about Independence Day. No, not the movie, though Will Smith punching an alien is a highlight in cinematic history. I'm talking about the real Independence Day, July 4th, 1776. That's when a bunch of wig-wearing, tea-hating rebels decided they'd had enough of Britain's nonsense. They signed the Declaration of Independence, effectively breaking up with King George III via a very strongly worded letter. But, you guys knew that, right? It's Trivia 101.
Now let's jump forward a couple of centuries to a different kind of battlefield - the World Cup. Team USA has been kicking balls and taking names, much like our forefathers, but with less feathered quill action and more sweat. Their success is a testament to American grit, determination, and our uncanny ability to turn any event into a competition.
Speaking of competition, let's talk national pride. We Americans are like the Kanye Wests of patriotism. We love our country so much, we'll interrupt other countries at award shows to tell them how great we are. But hey, can you blame us? We invented the internet, fast food, and the ability to make fun of ourselves while doing it. So here's to Independence Day, Team USA, and our unshakeable, sometimes laughable, national pride. Now, let's get back to trivia and see who knows the most about the country that invented the concept of 'extra'.
Online Question:
Where is there an American flag that has not been lowered since 1969?
