          Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@seattlebartrivia.com if you cannot find an answer to your question here. As questions come up we will add the them here along with answers.

Paying homage. First to the start of baseball games and the other. secondly to the fallible nature of humans.  Or Maybe it's just superstition, we've done it this way for a few years now, tradition?

A few tables at each of the bars can handle larger teams (8+). But for the most part it's easier with 6 or less team members. If you have a large team send someone early, before 6:15pm, to claim a table for the team. The short answer is there is no limit on team size.

To get the best table to fit everyone on the team comfortably arrive by 6:15pm. At Montana and sometimes Sam's by 6:45pm all the tables are likely to be claimed.

Both bars have full service bars. Sam's Tavern has great burgers and traditional pub food. Montana doesn't have a kitchen so outside food (not drinks) are allowed. See above for a few great suggestions.

Yes. Sam's Tavern and Montana have always been dog friendly.

Just send us an email info@seattlebartrivia.com or show up at one of the trivia nights and talk to the host.  We're always happy to talk about what we do.

          ONLINE QUESTION

Christmas time, that magical season when our bank accounts dwindle, our waistlines expand, and our living rooms become death traps of pine needles. It's the most wonderful time of the year, where we engage in the ancient tradition of panic-buying in crowded stores, serenaded by the same five holiday songs on a loop.

This is the season of giving, which apparently means gifting scented candles and novelty socks to everyone you've ever met. It's a time for family gatherings, where you can catch up with relatives whose names you barely remember, bonding over fruitcake that nobody actually eats.

Let's not forget the joy of untangling Christmas lights, a task that tests the limits of human patience and often results in a festive display that says, "I tried." And, of course, there's the annual debate about whether it's too early to put up decorations, a discussion that starts earlier each year, much like the presidential election cycle.

So, here's to Christmas, the season of joy, peace, and silently judging neighbors' outdoor light displays. It's a time to remember that no matter how stressful the preparations may seem, the true spirit of the season lies in coming together, sharing love, and complaining about the cold.
