Paying homage. First to the start of baseball games and the other. secondly to the fallible nature of humans. Or Maybe it's just superstition, we've done it this way for a few years now, tradition?
A few tables at each of the bars can handle larger teams (8+). But for the most part it's easier with 6 or less team members. If you have a large team send someone early, before 6:15pm, to claim a table for the team. The short answer is there is no limit on team size.
To get the best table to fit everyone on the team comfortably arrive by 6:15pm. At Montana and sometimes Sam's by 6:45pm all the tables are likely to be claimed.
Both bars have full service bars. Sam's Tavern has great burgers and traditional pub food. Montana doesn't have a kitchen so outside food (not drinks) are allowed. See above for a few great suggestions.
Yes. Sam's Tavern and Montana have always been dog friendly.

We choose a weekly theme for the online question and the bonus questions. These usually have something to do with a current holiday or event, or anniversary.
Throughout the quiz we ask several bonus questions the correct answer is worth a pint.
Alright folks, let's talk about a day that's as American as apple pie and tax evasion - MLB Opening Day! Now, I'm not saying baseball is slow, but I've seen glaciers that move faster than some of these games. And let's be honest, the only thing longer than a baseball season is the line at the DMV.
On Opening Day, we see some of the finest athletes in the world... and the Jays I mean, seriously, I’ve seen better swings on a rusty playground. And don't even get me started on the umpires. Some of them have such a wide strike zone, they could call a strike on a pitch thrown in a different stadium.
But hey, it's not all bad. There's nothing like the smell of freshly cut grass, overpriced beer, and the collective disappointment of Cubs fans. And let's not forget about the seventh-inning stretch, where we all stand up, stretch, and question why we've spent three hours watching grown men chase a ball around a field.
So, here's to MLB Opening Day - the day we all pretend to be sick so we can skip work, only to spend the day watching a sport where the players spend more time standing around than actually playing. It's a tradition unlike any other.
Online Question:
Not to be confused with the current letter (S), but part of the Seattle's MLB team logo from 1987 to 1992 this nickname is what single letter?
