Please reach us at info@seattlebartrivia.com if you cannot find an answer to your question here. As questions come up we will add the them here along with answers.

Paying homage. First to the start of baseball games and the other. secondly to the fallible nature of humans.  Or Maybe it's just superstition, we've done it this way for a few years now, tradition?

A few tables at each of the bars can handle larger teams (8+). But for the most part it's easier with 6 or less team members. If you have a large team send someone early, before 6:15pm, to claim a table for the team. The short answer is there is no limit on team size.

To get the best table to fit everyone on the team comfortably arrive by 6:15pm. At Montana and sometimes Sam's by 6:45pm all the tables are likely to be claimed.

Both bars have full service bars. Sam's Tavern has great burgers and traditional pub food. Montana doesn't have a kitchen so outside food (not drinks) are allowed. See above for a few great suggestions.

Yes. Sam's Tavern and Montana have always been dog friendly.

Just send us an email info@seattlebartrivia.com or show up at one of the trivia nights and talk to the host.  We're always happy to talk about what we do.

        ONLINE QUESTION

Now, I'm not saying that you, the enlightened trivia buffs, are a superstitious lot. But, let's face it, who among us hasn't thrown salt over their shoulder after a spill, or knocked on wood after making a hopeful statement? And why? Because it's fun? Because it makes us feel connected to our superstitious ancestors? Or because, deep down, there's a tiny part of us that thinks, 'Well, it couldn't hurt, right?'

And let's not forget about the poor number 13. It's just a number, right? But in many cultures, it's considered unlucky. In fact, some buildings don't even have a 13th floor. It goes straight from 12 to 14. Now, that's what I call 'taking superstition to new heights!'

Then, there's the combination of Friday and 13. Put them together and what do you get? The most dreaded day on the calendar. But why? Well, there are many theories. Some say it's because of the Last Supper, where there were 13 guests and the next day was Good Friday, the day of crucifixion. Others say it's because of the Knights Templar, who were arrested on Friday, October 13, 1307.

So, the next time Friday the 13th rolls around, whether you decide to hide under the covers, or go about your day as usual, remember this: superstitions are only as powerful as the belief we give them. And if you do happen to see a black cat, don't panic. It's probably just looking for its missing salt shaker.

        Online Question:

In what country is Friday the 17th actually considered an unlucky day?
