Paying homage. First to the start of baseball games and the other, to the fallible nature of humans. Or Maybe it's just superstition, we've done it this way for a few years now, tradition?
A few tables at each of the bars can handle larger teams (8+). But for the most part it's easier with 6 or less team members. If you have a large team send someone early, before 6:15pm, to claim a table for the team. The short answer is there is no limit on team size.
To get the best table to fit everyone on the team comfortably arrive by 6:15pm.

We choose a weekly theme for the online question and the bonus questions. These usually have something to do with a current holiday, event, or anniversary.
Throughout the quiz we ask several bonus questions the correct answer is worth a pint.
Ah, Halloween — the one time of year when we celebrate murder, monsters, and the supernatural by dressing like sexy versions of things that absolutely should not be sexy.
Pop culture has given us some incredible Halloween traditions. There's Halloween, Friday the 13th, and A Nightmare on Elm Street — three movie franchises that taught an entire generation that teenagers having sex is apparently punishable by death.
Then there's Halloween music. Michael Jackson gave us Thriller, Bobby Pickett gave us Monster Mash, and Mariah Carey is patiently waiting for midnight on October 31st so she can defrost and financially dominate the next two months.
Here in Seattle, Halloween is especially convenient. The weather's already miserable, everyone's dressed in black, and half the population looks like they're auditioning for a vampire movie anyway.
Which brings us to trivia — where the real horror isn't getting a question wrong.
It's realizing you changed the correct answer because the loudest person at your table had a "really good feeling."
Happy Halloween, you beautiful monsters! 🎃
