            Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@seattlebartrivia.com if you cannot find an answer to your question here. As questions come up we will add the them here along with answers.

Paying homage. First to the start of baseball games and the other, to the fallible nature of humans.  Or Maybe it's just superstition, we've done it this way for a few years now, tradition?

A few tables at each of the bars can handle larger teams (8+). But for the most part it's easier with 6 or less team members. If you have a large team send someone early, before 6:15pm, to claim a table for the team. The short answer is there is no limit on team size.

To get the best table to fit everyone on the team comfortably arrive by 6:15pm.

Montana doesn't have a kitchen so outside food (not drinks) are allowed. See above for a few great suggestions.

Yes. Montana has always been dog friendly.

Just send us an email info@seattlebartrivia.com or show up at one of the trivia nights and talk to the host.  We're always happy to talk about what we do.

We choose a weekly theme for the online question and the bonus questions. These usually have something to do with a current holiday, event, or anniversary.

Throughout the quiz we ask several bonus questions the correct answer is worth a pint.

            ONLINE QUESTION

            National Chinese Takeout Day (11/5)

National Chinese Takeout Day — a celebration of one of America's greatest culinary traditions: ordering enough food for six people, even though there are only two of you.

Chinese takeout is a beautiful example of cultural evolution. Chinese immigrants brought incredible culinary traditions to America, and Americans responded by saying, “This is delicious. But can we deep-fry it, cover it in orange sauce, and put it in a takeout box?”

And let's talk about fortune cookies. Despite their association with Chinese restaurants, they actually have Japanese-American roots. Which makes them a perfect trivia question — something everybody thinks they know until the answer ruins their confidence.

And speaking of questionable decisions, welcome to trivia — where choosing an answer is a lot like ordering Chinese takeout.

Now grab your chopsticks, trust your gut, and let's see whose fortune says, “You will finish in last place.”

            Online Question:

Although the dish has roots in Taiwanese cooking, the sweet, battered version Americans know today was developed and popularized in New York City during the 1970s, and is largely unfamiliar in China. Named after a 19th-century Chinese military leader, what is this famous Chinese-American dish?
