            Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@seattlebartrivia.com if you cannot find an answer to your question here. As questions come up we will add the them here along with answers.

Paying homage. First to the start of baseball games and the other, to the fallible nature of humans.  Or Maybe it's just superstition, we've done it this way for a few years now, tradition?

A few tables at each of the bars can handle larger teams (8+). But for the most part it's easier with 6 or less team members. If you have a large team send someone early, before 6:15pm, to claim a table for the team. The short answer is there is no limit on team size.

To get the best table to fit everyone on the team comfortably arrive by 6:15pm. At Montana and at Harvey's there are only a few tables that can handle larger teams

Both bars have full service bars. Harvey's Tavern has traditional pub food. Montana doesn't have a kitchen so outside food (not drinks) are allowed. See above for a few great suggestions.

Yes. Harvey's Tavern and Montana have always been dog friendly.  Skillet & Vine has an outside patio which welcomed dogs, where you can still be apart of trivia.

Just send us an email info@seattlebartrivia.com or show up at one of the trivia nights and talk to the host.  We're always happy to talk about what we do.

We choose a weekly theme for the online question and the bonus questions. These usually have something to do with a current holiday or event, or anniversary.

Throughout the quiz we ask several bonus questions the correct answer is worth a pint.

That's a great question. The short answer is that the business was was not doing as well as they hoped. When they were unable to find a buyer for the business, it had been on the market for several years, they decided to simply shut down. Cut their losses.   Will they bounce back? Unknown, but it seems unlikely.

Voila - Skillet & Vine Bisto is the answer. Located just down the hill in Madison Valley. We are excited to be taking over their trivia night. It will be the same 6 round format as the other quizzes. Right along side some of the best food, and a great Happy Hour Menu.

            ONLINE QUESTION

            Seafair

            Look, Up In The Sky

Alright, folks, let's talk about Seafair. You know, that summer festival in Seattle that's more waterlogged than my Aunt Patty's fruitcake. It's the time of the year when the whole city decides to take a break from their coffee shops and tech startups to pretend they're all sailors for a week.  Now, you've got to love the Seafair Pirates. These guys are like the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' on a budget. I mean, they've got a 1940s amphibious vehicle as their ship. Talk about a downgrade from the Black Pearl, am I right?  And let's not forget the Milk Carton Derby. Where else can you see grown adults paddling across a lake in a boat made of milk cartons? Only in Seattle, folks. It's like watching 'Titanic' but with a 100% survival rate and a lot more lactose.

Then there's the Blue Angels. Now, those pilots are impressive. They're the only part of Seafair that makes you feel like you're at a summer blockbuster instead of a really wet county fair. So, if you're ever in Seattle during the summer, don't miss Seafair. It's the only place where you can see pirates, milk cartons, and fighter jets all in the same day. And if that's not a unique selling point, I don't know what is.

            Online Question:

The Blue Angels will be in town this week, performing for Seafair. To what branch of the military are the Blue Angels attached?
