Because Montana has no kitchen, they allow outside food. Two options close by:
Dino's Tomato Pie, on the corner of Olive Way and Denny, on the same block.
Yalla, right next door.

Paying homage. First to the start of baseball games and the other. secondly to the fallible nature of humans. Or Maybe it's just superstition, we've done it this way for a few years now, tradition?
A few tables at each of the bars can handle larger teams (8+). But for the most part it's easier with 6 or less team members. If you have a large team send someone early, before 6:15pm, to claim a table for the team. The short answer is there is no limit on team size.
To get the best table to fit everyone on the team comfortably arrive by 6:15pm. At Montana and sometimes Sam's by 6:45pm all the tables are likely to be claimed.
Both bars have full service bars. Sam's Tavern has great burgers and traditional pub food. Montana doesn't have a kitchen so outside food (not drinks) are allowed. See above for a few great suggestions.
Yes. Sam's Tavern and Montana have always been dog friendly.

What did one American flag say to the other flag? Nothing, it just waved!
Ah, Memorial Day, the official kickoff to summer, when BBQ grills are dusted off, pools are reopened, and retail stores launch sales that make Black Friday look like a leisurely stroll through the mall. It’s the day when Americans honor the noble tradition of trying to remember where they stored their flip-flops and sunscreen from last year.
But let’s not forget, amid the frenzy of finding the perfect hot dog to bun ratio, that Memorial Day is actually a solemn occasion. It’s a day dedicated to remembering those who served and sacrificed their lives in the military, ensuring that the rest of us could enjoy freedoms like debating over charcoal vs. gas grilling and whether it’s too early in the season for white pants.
It's a day of contrast, where solemn ceremonies and moments of silence are observed in the morning, and by afternoon, it's all cannonballs into the pool and figuring out how to fit three days' worth of fun into a single holiday. Memorial Day serves as a poignant reminder that the freedom to enjoy such trivial pursuits was paid for at a great price.
So, here’s to Memorial Day: a time for reflection, gratitude, and the unofficial start to arguing about the best techniques for flipping burgers. Let’s remember to take a moment to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, even as we engage in the sacred ritual of trying to light the grill on the first try.
Online Question:
Before it was Memorial Day it was known as what day to honor the dead from America's wars?
